Neel has these over here. So, I thought I'd try my hand at one. So glad because I didn't need to be sleeping or anything...
Can any one else sort out my twisted and crazy little mind? Let's see.

Oh dear... I've created a monster.
Excellent set of pictures. Almost no text! I haven't tried that yet.
I can already tell you that the 357 slash diagonal is PESTS (tick, fly, Paris Hilton).
Seriously though, I think I know 5 of them. I could put forth a guess on the middle column. I'm stuck on the top row and 159 backslash diagonal.
Let's see how others respond before I chime in.

OK. So far so good.
Top: I guess technically it could be scouts but I was going for something else.
Middle: FIRE
Bottom: GRASS
Left: COMICS
Middle: not quite. I will reveal that you have to know a little more about the show to get this.
Right: CAMP
Backlash: Close but no cigar. Again. I'm a huge Firefly fan, sorry.
Forwardslash: TV (Bill got what I was going for but N gets snaps for a better option)

Well, The Tick, Firefly, and The Simple Life were all FOX TV shows. Bill's guesses for the other 4 were the same as mine.
For the middle column, I see redcoats and Browncoats, and wonder if picture 8 refers to band members wearing blue coats. Then the theme would be COATS.
As for the top row, I see WAR for pictures 1 and 2, but I don't know how it applies to question 3 unless you're talking about a celebrity feud (or maybe a war on decency).
I'm at a complete loss for the 159 backslash. Makes sense to focus on the simplest image, picture 9, but there's not a lot going on there that relates to picture 5.
For example, Nathan Fillion's legs are crossed, so I have no idea if he's pitching a tent.

Yes, they were FOX TV shows. They were almost all cancelled FOX TV shows...Why they brought SL back and not Firefly I'll never understand.
COATS is correct.
WAR was also what I was going for. The site I got the picture from mentioned the show being cancelled for a while as a "casualty of war". Made me giggle. in retrospect SCOUTS is the better option. What can I say. It's my first try...
Let me know when you want a bigger hint. I already said you need to know more about the show. The browncoats bit was the harder part though. Let 1 & 9 lead you.

I completely forgot about Ron Glass' character. For some reason I ignore the men in that picture.
All in all, very good puzzle.
