Good combined effort. I didn't try to get obscure or anything on this one (mostly because it really is a kids' edition and I'm bringing it in for the kids in my cast so I wanted them to be able to solve it.
For the record Bill, I found your cake when looking for a cake image.

I mostly agree with Bill, but I would have said FROGS for the Center Row and GREEN (the turf) for the Right Column.
I assume the cake eater in image 4 is some kind of frog.
Good cohesive puzzle! Still trying to go back to making those.
