Congratulations on putting together the puzzle. I fear solving it will not be easy, though. It's all Shakespeare, so a lot of fine distinctions need to be made.
Top Row: STAR CROSSED LOVERS (Will/Viola, Romeo/Juliet, Tony/Maria)
Middle Row: HAMLET (if picture 6 is Ophelia)
Left Column: WILL (assuming that picture 7 is Colin Firth playing Will in Blackadder, and not Lord Wessex)
Right Column: HEROINES (again, assuming picture 6 applies)
159 Diagonal: TITLES?
Like I said, not as easy as you think. At least for me, because my mind's already clouded.
When I tried composing an all-Shakespeare puzzle, I was trying themes like KENNETH BRANAGH FILMS, ACTORS WHO PLAYED HAMLET, OSCAR WINNERS, MODERN ADAPTATIONS, etc. I can't plug any of those themes here, but it's all I can think about, so I'm scrambling to find alternatives.
Well, you might be thinking too hard. You got 3 already. The seriously Shakespeare stuff you already have.
Top Row: yes and no. I'll wait to see if Bill figures this out before any clues.
Middle: HAMLET, yes.
Bottom: not Shakespeare specific
Left: WILL (OF COURSE that is Colin Firth playing Shakespeare...I'll tell him you said that I think he'll be very hurt)
Right: not quite. Although you are correct in focusing on the women.
159: TITLES, yes.
I came VERY close to a Branagh theme but it blew up on me. Probably because I was too committed to using Colin. There is one very close to modern adaptations...
Bottom: Bill has given many options that would work (numbers, man that's brilliant) but I was going for a visual in that one...All of them are LOOKING STAGE RIGHT.
Left: Will Shakespeare, indeed.
Middle: I was going for a simple MOVIE VERSIONS. I could have just as easily used the Mel Gibson movie poster for the center but I hate Ethan Hawke slighly less that Mel. I'd forgotten that the modern adaptation slant was there. Cool.
Right: Not Shakespeare related. The hint I gave Neel still applies. Check out the chicks, man.
Slash: I don't know if Colin is an animal (although I'd really like to find out) so, no on that one. Very similar to the right column so if you find one that should get you thinking on the right path to the other.

I think Bill's better equipped for this one.

Wow. This is really impressive. I'm also working on an all Shakespeare puzzle, but I'm taking an entirely different tack.
Okay, let's see what I can do with this. Some of these are guesses, and Neel knows I'm an agressive guesser.
TOP ROW: BASED ON ROMEO & JULIET (Shakespeare in Love, R + J, West Side Story)
MIDDLE ROW: HAMLET (Poor Yorick, Hamlet, Ophelia)
BOTTOM ROW: Not sure. Some ideas:
• NUMBERS (Black Adder Back and FORTH, Henry the FIFTH, Much Ado about NOTHING)
• BRITISH ACTORS (Firth, Branagh, Briers)
• BOTTOM (all of the pictures are on the bottom)
LEFT COLUMN: DEPICTIONS OF SHAKESPEARE HIMSELF
MIDDLE COLUMN: SHAKESPEARE MOVIES SET IN THE PRESENT DAY (Henry V Prologue is set in a modern movie studio)
RIGHT COLUMN: PEOPLE WHOSE "DEATH" CAUSED OTHERS TO HAVE A RECOGNITION (Tony, Ophelia, Hero)
SLASH: ANIMALS (Sharks, Hawke, Colin)
BACKSLASH: TITLES

Top Row: Goes to Bill! They are all based on R&J.
Middle: Hamlet
Bottom: Bill has given many options that would work (numbers, man that's brilliant) but I was going for a visual in that one...All of them are LOOKING STAGE RIGHT.
Left: Will Shakespeare, indeed.

Backslash: TITLES.

Ahem. Colin Firth is NOT looking stage right. He's peering deeply into our very souls!
Too gay? Eh, it's theater.

But it's Shakespeare, not musical theater so, yeah, possibly too gay.

Yes, because the Globe Theatre never once depicted a romance using a pair of male actors.
Did we ever solve the 357 Slash Diagonal? If not, I'll throw in FOREHEADS. (You've got me thinking about hairlines now.)

Bill got it with MEN IN BLACK.
Although now I have that They Might Be Giants song stuck in my head...thanks.
